Our tour starts early at 9am and we will visit a cocoa plantation of approximately 100 hectares in the Cerecita Valley. This activity allows us to learn about the traditions of our farmers, which also highlights the diversity of tropical fruits and flowers as well as exotic plantations in our region.
We will learn the production process in the machines and equipment that have been designed and built in the same facilities by the master chocolatiers.
First you start with toasting, which together with the fermentation processes is crucial for the aromas and flavors of chocolate to develop. This activity is defined as "natural chocolate planting" .
Since we differ in a very important factor: that the chocolate is made in the same plantation, giving an unparalleled importance to the origin of the chocolate product that is made inside the hacienda where the cocoa plantation is located.
We will know in full control the whole process from the sowing, harvest and post harvest giving us an incomparable guarantee of its quality.
Later in the afternoon we will visit the downtown area of the city, at the north end of the Malecón Simón Bolívar Puerto Santa Ana awaits us, located on the banks of the Guayas River. Here we will find the music museum, the old factory of beer, and the artisan market, we will also visit the cobbled streets and the old colonial style houses of the first traditional neighborhood of Guayaquil "Las Peñas Neighborhood" where the city was born, to end the tour we will visit the Mirador del Galeón to enjoy its majestic panoramic view.
